We All Need to Work Ourselves Out of Debt

Debt has become a very big problem in the United States. Now days, it is “normal” to be in debt and because so many people are, it is quite acceptable. Even our government is so much in debt that the economy is collapsing.
Folks don’t adhere to the same standards they did years ago. In years gone by, there was a stigma related to being in debt and declaring bankruptcy. Now though, no one thinks twice about it and what results is a whole bunch of people looking for ways out like with debt relief grants.
The problem is that even in case you are not in debt your self, you’ll be paying for the massive deficits the government has run up. No one is going to be able to escape the consequences of it and you will be paying greater taxes and higher prices for everything as inflation becomes a problem.
Today’s children aren’t taught the importance of saving any more. In my youth, I was taught I could not have things till I had the money to pay for them. Today, youngsters appear to expect thing when they need them or want them and never only when they can afford them.
This is a mentality that has affected them as adults and they are following the same philosophy of get things now even if you have to pay for them later. Credit card corporations are more than happy to issue credit cards to people who really shouldn’t have them. Once people get into credit card debt, they start out in search of things like Obama stimulus grants and then once they don’t find them, they declare bankruptcy and begin again.
If things don’t turn around soon, our country may be doomed to go down the same path Greece is going down right now. Lets hope that never happens.
